What's new in Toolbay, Toolbay Flow, Bedrock and Cereal

Toolbay v0.1.12 to v0.1.17

• Normal Toolbay icon again.
• Nothing runs in the background.
• Updates never close or break a running app.
• Tools with no pixel object show their icon in the same box as the objects (tiles and hero).
• On Mac, Toolbay sign-in token in a 0600 session file, not the keychain (no login-password prompt after updates).

Bedrock v0.1.2 to v0.1.6

• Closing the window quits Bedrock on every computer, Mac included. Sync and agent access stop when it quits.
• No tray or menu bar icon.
• Bedrock never starts at login, and it removes any login item an earlier version left behind.
• The hub's "hide" now minimizes the window instead of hiding it, and Bedrock always opens with its window showing.
• Sync no longer turns itself on when you're signed in to Toolbay. It stays off until you turn it on in Settings › Sync. With sync off, nothing from your vault is uploaded.
• Turning sync on asks you to choose a sync passphrase. Your notes, file names and folder names are encrypted on your computer with a key only that passphrase opens, so Toolbay stores a locked copy it can't read. You type the passphrase…
• If you forget the passphrase, your synced notes can't be recovered from Toolbay, by you or by us. The files on your computers are never affected: "Forgot your passphrase?" starts the synced copy over with a new passphrase, and your…
• Earlier versions stored your vault's key in your Toolbay account without a passphrase, so Toolbay could have unlocked your synced notes. This update deletes that key from your account (toolbay.ai also refuses to store it again).
• Sync is off after the update, and Bedrock asks you once whether to turn it back on. Nothing uploads until you choose.
